Description

We were told that at one time the cottage was a bath house at the public access and was very old. It had been a rental for several years called "Boogalow".

We bought the cottage in 1964. It was quite dark and ugly. Our parents set to work improving the place with a lot of creativity. We added cedar siding, a stone patio, a bunk house, and painted everything!

The original building began to fall down, so it was time to build a new cottage. Our mother came up with the basic architectural layout. We wanted it to feel like a modern version of the old place, but with a lot more windows and bedrooms. The patio was rebuilt and our father's wood statues were added to the landscape.

All of us were growing up and having kids of our own. It was time to tear down the old bunk house and remodel the cottage. We kept the idea of the bunkhouse with the new bunk room. We added the great room with large widows to give the feeling of being outdoors while enjoying the comfort of a cozy indoors.
