Our family (a group of 8 people) stayed at Villa Fair Winds at the beginning of February for a week. Fair Winds is a brand-new Villa with exotic furniture that makes you feel really at home! The backyard is a truly tropical botanic garden while from all rooms and from the patio, including an infinity pool, you can enjoy an amazing view on the ocean. At sunset the view is breathtaking! The Villa is fully furnished with anything you may imagine: a fully stocked kitchen, professional grade appliances, photovoltaic systems all over, Bluetooth hifi system and a large 65 inches Led Tv. The Management Staff picked us up at the airport and was available 24/7 for all our needs. They even drove us to restaurants at night. Some of Antiguas best beaches are just down the road so we did not need to rent a car. Moreover, several restaurants, a large supermarket, pharmacy, banks and other shops are also down the road at walking distance. We enjoyed the various barbecues in the outdoor area and one night a private chef came to make pizza for us in the amazing pizza oven by the pool. We cant wait to be back at Villa Fair Winds for our next holiday!
We wanted this vacation to be memorable and magical as it was the first time our joint families were meeting as my Soulmate and I have been together 20 months now and our adult children are spread across Canada. This villa certainly met that requirement! We spent countless hours around the infinity pool taking photos of the magical sunset and playing in the pool. Some of our gang rented a jeep and discovered the local environment and we took in a couple of memorable day excursions including a catamaran/snorkelling adventure plus a deep sea fishing trip following which we enjoyed the Mahi Mahi that was caught! The setup of this villa is a perfect layout for a large group as you have space to have quiet time away from the ones who want to chat. The only thing I would suggest(not a complaint at all) is to fix/enhance the water pressure in the kitchen. The dishwasher really does not properly clean so we ended up hand washing everything each time we tried the unit. We would also encourage replacing the coffee pot with one that is larger to accommodate 8 people. Glasses and cups to accommodate 8 would be great. These are minor things but over time they have likely been broken with various guests. I hope the island will consider recycling as I was sad to hear that does not happen. Antigua is so gorgeous, don\'t ruin it with unnecessary clutter. Our blended family loved this vacation and they unanimously agreed it was magical. Mission accomplished! Thank you!
From April 23rd I stayed at Villa Fair Winds for three weeks. It was not easy to book for such a long period since the villa seemed to be rented out at all times. Last year I looked over many villas in the area and concluded that this was the best option for our group. A lot of space, both indoor and outdoor, an impressive view and a dominant position with constant cool breeze, total security inside the Sugar Ridge Resort, vicinity to wonderful beaches, restaurants, shops, supermarket, all at walking distance. We enjoyed the very big garden with countless plant species and fruit trees. We enjoyed picking up our own bananas, papayas and mangos. The garden is so large that we could take walks at sunset without actually leaving the property. The villa is brand new, built under the highest standard, luxury furnished but with a homey touch. We really felt at home. The kitchen is supplied with high-end appliances and furnishings. What we also liked is that the villa is arranged in two complete independent floors. For the three weeks we occupied the main floor as a 2 adult couples. The floor includes two bedroom suites with outstanding marble bathrooms, living room, open kitchen and a large patio with an infinity pool overlooking the Jolly Harbour Marina and the beach area. During the holiday, our respective kids came to visit us, four in total. They were accommodated on the garden floor which includes another two bedroom suites and a nice studio. On the outside, a large flat garden and a gazebo with a fantastic view over the coast, made their stay more than pleasant. With so much space available the privacy, even when all the eight of us were in, was unlimited, not to mention the additional space in the backyard and in the nicely developed tropical garden that surrounds the villa. It was the real perfect long holiday and we cant wait to be back next year in the same period Mark Ellis
This villa was absolutely stunning. I already miss waking up to the beautiful view of Jolly Harbor and the surrounding area. We were two families traveling together for the first time with 4 adults and 4 kids (ages of 9 and 11) for a week in February. This villa fit all our needs. The large living and kitchen space and all 4 bedrooms having their own bathroom allowed us not to be cramped on top of each other. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the necessities and even more. We were greeted by the property manager that went over the property and there was even some starter items for us in the refrigerator like bottled water, bottle of wine, milk, and juice. The close proximity to the store allowed us to easily run out and get things in a pinch. The epicurean market had everything you need and we easily made breakfast, packed lunches for the day, and prepared dinner in the villa. We also explored some of the restaurants on the island and most of them are accessible by foot but just remember there is a steep hill up to the villa. The rental included transportation to and from the villa so we just rented a car for the time in between. We used Drive-a-matic car rental and they dropped/picked up the cars free of charge! They were wonderful. When the ladies dropped off the cars they gave us a map and went over all the places we should see during our stay. We ended up going to one or two different beaches per day. They are all unique but we especially loved **half moon bay** and valley church. We went driving all over the island and it was quite the adventure. Make sure not to miss Nelson\'s Dockyard and the famous Sunday night party at Shirley Heights. We ended up reserving a ride to the Sunday night festivities to Shirley Heights through the rental property company because of the limited parking, night driving, and we wanted to enjoy the famous rum punch. The owner of the the villa and property management company were very easy to work with and responded to all my emails with questions answered. I highly recommend this place during your stay in Antigua. Great views in a prime location!
Fair Winds has everything you could possibly want for a family (or adult) holiday. It was incredible - it is the scene of a magical Caribbean holiday. Would recommend to everyone Memories have been made for life Thank you Gp
