As a mom and a wife of a surfer, Las Ventanas has all a family could ask for. It is so close to the beach and many different restaurants. It\'s clean, airy, and has everything to make your vacation a true vacation. The staff is so friendly and makes you feel right at home. Each year we travel with our children to Costa Rica. We see crocodiles, monkeys, and birds of all kinds. But when anyone asks our children what is their favorite part of going to Costa Rica they never mention the exotic wildlife, they always reply, \"Swimming in the pool with the noodles and the waterfall (at Las Ventanas)!\"
My husband and I and our 16 yr. old daughter, had a very enjoyable time at Las Ventanas. The location is great, and the staff wonderful, the condos well equipped, and the pool and grounds are beautiful. Quality restaurants, and a grocery store are very close. Adventure activities such as ziplining, ATV tours are less than 20 minutes from the condo and horsebackriding right on Junquillal beach . Costa Rican roads do not have a good reputation, but the drive from the airport was fine with only 2 km. or so of dirt road to the condo. I have stayed in many rentals through and I would rate our Las Ventanas experience as one of the very best. We loved the outdoor showers and jacuzzi tub that is available in only the lower units, only steps from the pool. We would absolutely go again!!
I spent a week at Las Ventanas with my wife and son in January of 2012. We had a wonderful stay. The condo was clean, very comfortable, and nicely decorated. The atmosphere was relaxing with beautiful grounds and a saltwater pool that my son used almost every day. Rosa, the manager, was very accommodating. She made us feel right at home and was a great source of local information and ideas for day trips. There is plenty of privacy, but we also go to know some of our neighbors for the week which added to the experience. For such a small place, there was a real sense of community. The condos are a short walk to beautiful junquillal beach, which we often had to ourselves. If you plan to do some exploring of the region, I would recommend a 4WD vehicle as some of the roads are unpaved and unimproved. This place is a jewel and a great alternative to the resort-style accommodation. Can\'t say enough nice things about las ventanas and this part of guanacaste. At the end of our stay we all agreed that one week was not enough.
My wife and two kids stayed here for 2 weeks starting on Dec. 26th/15 and we were not disappointed. Close to a beautiful beach that you can walk for hours. Good surfing and boogie boarding right there. Condos are clean and beautiful. Ground level condo has outdoor showers and jetted tub in master that is awesome as you shower looking up at the stars and palm trees. Monkeys in the trees on the property that the kids loved. We used the pool everyday for hours and there are good restaurants close by and zip lining just down the highway. we\'ll be back. The Canadian owner was great to deal with and his staff were very nice. Thanks Michael for an unforgettable family vacation! Pura Vida!!!
This was our first trip to Costa Rica and our stay at this condo property was our last in a two week trip to this beautiful country. You can say we saved the best for last. Michael was very helpful pre-arrival and provided detailed information on how to get to the condo, but also about the attractions nearby. My wife and son (14) have rented from various properties around the world, and this has to be one of the best in our experience. The complex includes 20 condo units spread out over five buildings surrounding a beautiful pool and exquisitely landscaped gardens. The complex has round the clock security, we enjoyed chatting with Miguel who always provided a big Tico smile and great advise on local attractions. The office staff were also very helpful. We stayed for 9 days at this location, and we pretty much had the place to ourselves. The condo itself was very well appointed with all the kitchen necessities to make our stay comfortable, and cook wonderful meals using the BBQ. We stayed in a ground floor unit, which made it very easy to access the pool. Playa Junquillal was only a 5 minute walk from the condo, and as this is an active tide beach (not great for swimming) you can have it pretty much to yourself to enjoy beautiful sunsets and long walks along this pristine beach. The condo is in close proximity to a number a great beaches, like Playa Blanca, Playa Negra and Playa Avellanas. We explored the area extensively and made trips to Tamarindo (25 min. drive), but were very glad to return to the tranquility of our condo. We would definitely return and are very thankful to Michael and his staff for their hospitality, this place definitely lives up to the reviews we read prior to arrival. Pura Vida!!!!
