BEST VILLA IN OIA


WE STAYED HERE DURING THE FIRST WEEK OF SEPTEMBER AND WE COULD NOT HAVE BEEN HAPPIER. WE WERE WONDERFULLY LOOKED AFTER WITH A FRESH BREAKFAST DELIVERED EVERY MORNING. THE VILLA WAS CLEANED EVERY DAY AND WE WERE GIVEN FRESH TOWELS. THE VILLA HAS EVERYTHING THAT YOU COULD WANT AND IS PERFECTLY SITUATED IN A QUIET PART OF THE ISLAND. YOU ARE RIGHT BY THE CASTLE RUINS WHICH CAN GET BUSY WITH TOURISTS DURING THE DAY BUT THE TERRACE IS PRETTY SHELTERED AND DESPITE A FEW ONLOOKERS YOU CAN LARGELY ESCAPE THE CROWDS. FROM WHAT WE SAW WE HAD THE LARGEST TERRACE IN OIA AND THE LARGEST PRIVATE POOL WHICH IS PERFECT TO DIP IN AND COOL DOWN WHEN IT GETS HOT. THE VIEW OUT ACROSS THE SEA IS UNINTERRUPTED AND PEACEFUL. TRULY BEAUTIFUL AND WE WOULD BOTH HAPPILY RETURN HERE NEXT TIME WE VISIT.

Spectacular villa!!


There is no doubt this is a spectacularly beautiful 1 bedroom villa, nicely furnished with a very large terrace and beautiful large pool (for Santorini!). It is beautifully furnished and generally well appointed ie Bose bluetooth speaker, TV, and Nespresso Coffee machine (though more than 3 pods should be provided each day). Morning breakfast basket delivery of pastries, juice and fruit, was a nice touch. There is an issue with privacy, but then again privacy or lack of, is right through Santorini. Either another sun umbrella or well placed shade cloth would assist. The nightly rate is expensive, so a bottle of wine and fruit basket on arrival would be an improvement. My wife and I stayed 3 nights in August 2017. Not sure why, but there were lots of flies coming in to the villa and on the terrace when we were there and surprisingly no fly spray or repellent provided at the villa. Overall we would thoroughly recommend Lucien Villa.
