Nestled at the foot of the Plott Balsam Range, this lovely apartment is more like a private home, secluded and quiet with the beauty of nature all around. The location of the property is central to many of the areas great attractions; conveniently located between Asheville and Cherokee.
 
This new one bedroom apartment is a lovely space that includes high quality furnishings. A new, solid wood Kincaid platform king size bed for comfort features a new, organic cotton, very comfortable, firm mattress, high thread count 100% Egyptian cotton sheets; a double, lit closet and dresser with lots of storage for personal belongings.
 
All of the essentials one would need for a comfortable and relaxing stay are provided. There is a fully equipped kitchen, full size bath, laundry room and two private entrances that open up to a spacious deck and secluded back yard. The front deck is equipped for relaxing in the hammock under the magnificent trees while listening to all the birds, or enjoying you meals on the outside dining furniture. A well established culinary herb garden right outside your back door and access also to any in season veggies grown in Diannah's organic garden.
 
While the accommodations are best suited for one or two adults, additional sleeping for a small child can easily be arranged. Rental comes with complimentary teas and fresh ground coffee (this is one of the "perks" that guests like most about Diannah's rentals) along with snacks and basic breakfast items. A full breakfast or lunch can be provided if arranged ahead of time, for a nominal fee. Diannah is a fabulous cook who uses fresh organic ingredients, some of which are grown here on her property!
 
This is a perfect getaway place for the couple that wants to explore Western North Carolina and all of the areas attractions.

Great Location


Diannah was a great communicator, was quick to answer all the questions we had. The apartment had large windows that let in lots of light which was nice. It was a very clean and cozy place, the bed and pillows was super comfortable. We did a lot of hiking in the area and the Blue Ridge Parkway is just a short drive away and it is close to stores and restaurants. Great area for outdoor activities. Thank You Diannah for a great week, we sure would like to come again one day.

I have been here twice now, I wouldn\'t think of going anywhere else. I didn\'t show up on time, which threw the host\'s schedule into a mix and for that I apologize. She worked around me and my arrival issues and you couldn\'t ask for a better host. Your place is incredible, I give it 10 stars,, as far as Diannah; a very warm and caring person who leaves no stone un-turned to make sure your stay is the best of the best. Can\'t say enough... good things.

Nice getaway


Nice getaway in the mountains. About 30 minutes from Cataloochee ski resort. Very close to Waynesville downtown. The house itself is small, but a perfect size for 2 people. Everything you would need, kitchen, nice bathroom, comfy bed, smart tv, etc. would recommend staying here! Diannah was a great host and very accommodating.

Lovely And Peaceful


Diannah\'s apartment was well-appointed, comfortably furnished, and had everything we needed. The kitchen was stocked with everything needed to prepare simple meals, and the bed was very comfortable. The property is surrounded by woods and was quite lovely and peaceful. I would definitely stay here again.

Diannah was an amazing host! We booked last minute and she was extremely accommodating. She met us at door to make sure we got in ok in the dark and rain. Her place is immaculate! Bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. Shower and bathroom perfect. Kitchen with potted plants and fresh ground coffee! Places to set my stuff down. Perfectly quiet and peaceful there. Beautiful grounds even though it’s not yet Spring! Can not get better than this, we will definitely be back! Thank you so much Diannah!

The private apartment was very nice and of high quality; we enjoyed the interesting furnishings and beautiful artwork. The skylight in the bathroom was a nice added touch. Diannah went to extra effort to help us by buying a foam topper for the mattress for my husband who has pain issues- he was very comfortable. We also loved the zucchini bread and would go back just for it :) The area is very serene with very few car sounds with a nice nature walk just up the hill. We enjoyed lying in the large hammocks on the deck. Diannah gave us a tip to a local restaurant that was wonderful (Sweet Onion).
