Perhaps the best feedback I can give is that I already told Aamir, \"We\'ll be back!\". We go to NYC once a year and when we bring the kids we need a bigger place. We have stayed at several others and this is by far the best place we have found. Actually we were lucky that there was availability. We happened to squeeze in by chance so I\'ll be booking in advance next time. Why is this place great? There\'s lots of space for 8-10 people. The back yard AND GAME ROOM is great for the kids and the neighbors are nice and understanding (we accidentally kicked a ball over the fence!). Aamir was so flexible and understanding as the two families tried to coordinate arrival and, due to traffic, we had to switch at the last minute. The park and science center are so close and the neighborhood has some great restaurants. If I had to say one thing, our mattress might be due for an update, but otherwise the bedding and linens were wonderful. Also, while there is a dining table on the private backyard lawn, there isn\'t one in the house. This was no issue for us at all. We were only there for breakfast and everyone awoke and ate their breakfasts at different times so there was ample seating at the kitchen counter. Also, since the weather was nice we sat outside to get a bit of piece and quiet from the chaos of the children inside. Ha! All in all it was a lovely holiday, made that much lovelier by this house in queens. Thank you, Aamir!!!
Very pleased with staying at Amir rental home. The location was perfect, Convenient to transportation to Times Square. Good eating places. Will definitely rent again.
This house was perfect for our quick weekend in NYC with extended family. Plenty of space for 8 of of us and the accommodations were clean. We were happy to find a rental with 2 bathrooms (even if they were both on the second floor, there were 2!) Plenty of sleeping accommodations for our large group; top bunks were not ideal for adults (but would be more than fine for younger kids). I definitely would rent this place again if I was going to NYC with a large group - can\'t beat the value! Neighborhood was safe; local bakery and restaurant served great food. We didn\'t need to call on the owner for anything during our stay but he was very pleasant to work with before and after booking.
Arrived on Wed. evening at JFK- took an Uber here, it took about 25 minutes & the price was $35. Traveled with 4 people, we had 10 people in are party. 4 married couples & two adult children. This is a large NYC home, some of the rooms are smaller (quaint), a little older home with wonderful character. I loved the crown molding & other historic aspects of the home. When you first enter the doorway, the bunk room is to your left. It’s a small room, but it accommodated two couples and the adult children in the top bunks. Next is a small living room with 2 large couches (and corner section connecting them) flat screen TV. Owner has some magazines, & some games. You can enter the kitchen two ways. Kitchen is EQUIPPED with everything & I mean everything; dishwasher,, Keurig, pots and pans, dishes for more than 10 people. (Cooked our thanksgiving meal .) Island has a couple of chairs, there is no table inside the unit but we took outside table & put it in the game room, turned on the space heater and enjoyed our meals in there. We played cards, and games in there, what a nice extra space. It was not hard to move the table & patio chairs in here. Upstairs (stairs are narrow and lean) I truly appreciate the charm older homes have. There are 2 bdrms & 2 bathrooms upstairs. First bath is directly up stairs. It has a large tub/shower, plenty of storage space, blow dryer, lots of towels Next door to the first bath is a bdrm and bath. Step up for bathroom- which has a shower with great water pressure & plenty of hot water, we never once ran out of hot water- Bedroom had a queen bed, lots of pillows & blankets. This room’s closet has a lot of extra blankets, towels- you will not run out of any linens- owner has the house stocked with them very, good. Second bdrm - queen bed *The person who wrote about a mouse- I have lived many places and mice can and do get into some of the cleanest places, It gets cold out, they want in! All I can say is don’t let this persons post discourage you from renting this place. The walk to the subway was about 10 blks away, **Subway to Times Square is about 30 mins. * It is about a 10 minute ride into city, just takes longer to Times Square The area is safe, we never once felt nervous. We loved this area!. We had a late flight, and owner was very accommodating, allowed us late checkout.
Nice property and plenty of room. My kids enjoyed the air hockey and foosball in the game room. Beds were very comfortable and A/C in every room. Walking distance to grocery, restaurants, and the subway. Definitely recommend eating at the restaurant across the street, excellent food.
