The estate features a private beach and swimming pool and provides a place to relax and enjoy romantic sunsets. This lovingly restored, 18th century Dutch “landhuis” is decorated with a charming mix of antique Caribbean furniture with Asian and European influences. The dramatic, private seaside setting of this historic estate provides a place to simply relax and enjoy the ocean views or take a swim in your own private pool.

The Bachelorette
 
When the producers of ABC’s 'The Bachelorette' selected the Dutch-influenced island of Curaçao as a destination for Season Eight they looked for a luxurious, romantic home where Emily Maynard and her daughter Ricki could stay and enjoy the sun, sea and a bit of island history, they chose Sirena Bay Estate.
 
Accommodations on the estate
 
Sirena Bay is a historic, seaside estate with 4 accommodations and a private pool and beach. For your privacy we rent the entire property as one for your exclusive use.
 
The Main House has three guest suites. The Royal Suite (ground floor) and Pineapple Suite (first floor) have king beds and the Sirena Suite (ground floor) has two extra long twin beds that can be bridged into a king if needed. Each Suite has its own bath with tub, shower and sinks. There is a living area, a TV room and a large, fully equiped kitchen. You can enjoy your breakfast or diner at the long table on the porch, overlooking the pool and sea.
 
The upper Sea View Apartment (first floor) has two bedrooms and a loft sleeping area, living room, one bathroom, and a fully equipped kitchen. The two bedrooms have a queen bed and there is also a queen bed in the loft area. The apartment features a wrap around porch that overlooks the Caribbean Sea. The apartment sits only 30' from the sea and is adjacent to the pool and beach. It is rented separately only in conjunction with your rental of the main house to insure the privacy of your stay.
 
The downstairs Sea View Apartment (ground floor) has two bedrooms, a living room, one bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen. The two bedrooms have a queen bed. The apartment features a porch that overlooks the Caribbean Sea. The apartment sits only 30' from the sea and is adjacent to the pool and beach. It is rented separately only in conjunction with your rental of the main house to insure the privacy of your stay.
 
Kas Chikitu litterally means small house. The smallest accommodation at Sirena Bay is suited for 2 persons + 2 kids. Besides a double size bed, a small loft bed for kids, bathroom and fridge you have a nice private patio to enjoy your coffee in the morning. Kas Chikitu is situated next to the main house, at the pool side, with an amazing view at the sea.
 
Restaurants & food
 
In the direct surrounding of the estate you can find several very good restaurants within walking distance, more than 5 good restaurants even lie within 50 meters of the property! If you want to have dinner at the house, you can use our gas BBQ, the large stove and oven and all of the kitchen supplies you find in the kitchen of the main house. Off course you can also use the kitchens in both apartments for preparing a meal or breakfast. We can also offer you a home cooked meal with local products, or even a private chef who can prepare a complete menu for your group with prior notice.
 
There are several good supermarkets on the island. They have a wide range of products and also sell gluten free products.
 
Housekeeping
 
Your rooms will be cleaned 6 days a week, on Sunday there will be no housekeeping. The bed sheets will be changed every 3 days, fresh towels every day if you wish. Please keep in mind that this service will not be available on Sundays.
 
We will also provide beach towels for our guests.
 
We have a private pool and beach. There is a lot to see under water in front of the estate, like a beautiful coral reef. Next to our estate (100 meters) lies hotel Avila Beach. Here you have a fantastic bay with sunbeds, a cocktail bar and restaurants. Curacao is famous for all her white sandy bays and beaches, there are so many places to enjoy a beautiful day at the beach!
 
Since 2017 we have new wifi at the main house, poolside and both apartments.
 
The price includes use of water, gas, wifi, housekeeping, telephone for local phonecalls, linnen, towels, sunbeds, beachtowels.
 
Electricity is included up to 10KW / person / day. With normal use of electricity this will never be exceeded.

Sirena Bay Estate, Curacao


Richard was wonderful to work with in renting his home for our vacation. He was prompt in answering all my emails and left no stone unturned. The house was lovely. We especially enjoyed the services of Otis and Shelly. Otis took care of everything for us from making dinner reservations, to walking us to town, to resetting the power when we tripped the circuit, to unlocking doors when we accidentally locked ourselves out. He made sure our stay was safe and enjoyable. Shelly came daily to tidy up. I highly recommend this property! The view from the property is spectacular.

Summer Holiday


Hello Richard! My husband and I joined friends on our holiday at your beautiful home Aug. 4-12th. Robbert happily greeted us at the airport even though our flight had been delayed a bit. When we arrived at the Estate, Ottis met us and carried in our bags. He and Shelley were one of the most enjoyable parts of our trip.. They were hospitable, friendly and helpful. I chuckled as they would not leave our side at the grocery store. They took care of us, cleaning daily, taking us to the grocery store, the beach, making sure we were safe and comfortable at all times. The Estate is gorgeous. My favorite spot was the wooden swing down by the beach. Just wanted to thank you and let you know how wonderful our trip was. A vacation of a lifetime! Thank you for sharing your home with us.

This was a happily Ever After


This is the second house my family has booked using VBRO, hands-down the BEST. My family hadn\'t seen each other in a while and what a wonderful paradise to reunite. Richard was amazing and helpful with learning what parts of the island were best suited. Ottis there aren\'t enough words for how amazing that man was. He truly served our family in the best way. He was so generous with information and helpful.

Great Property


We had a great time at this property 3 families and plenty of room for everyone. The staff was very accommodating especially Ottis. The house was cleaned every day except for Sunday which was understandable. Tons of restaurants KOME was the best We had a great time and would rent this property again in a second.

Annual girls trip (Ella Son group of 13)


We were impressed with the house the minute we entered the gates. 13 woman that never been to Curacao and OMG what a treat! The introduction by Caroline and initial tour of the grounds was fantastic. After sorting out the rooms and settling in which was the perfect size for our group, walking into town for dinner was next and we were surprised at the variety nearby (highly recommend a low key restaurant called \"Happy\" about an 8 minute walk away from the house). OTTIS (the house attendant, guard, and sometimes peacemaker) was just an angel from the beginning...he went above and beyond our expectations the entire 6 days that we spent at the property and we were so lucky to have met him. We loved the POOL and beautiful ocean views...the rooms are beautifully decorated with a caribbean theme throughout and you really get the feel of being very far away from the hustle of city living. THE KITCHEN!!!... we spent so much time there cooking and talking... THE OUTDOOR GAZEBOS were great for morning coffee or late night chats....truly an amazing home and we will definitely be returning!
