Wow! This place was amazing. We had a group of 8 people, 3 couples and 2 singles. The house was comfortable in spite of our large group. The kitchen is well stocked, bathhouse is awesome, beds are comfy, and the location is amazing. Close enough to Todos Santos for convenient shopping and eating, but far enough for privacy. The house is a short walk from a beach that feels private (we never ran into anyone else there). Definitely need a rental car. We had a week long trip and visited some incredible beaches (Punta Las Palmas, San Pedrito) and got 2 kilos of the most delicious fresh caught Mahi Mahi for 120 pesos at Punta Lobos. The highlight of the trip (though it\'s hard to pick just one) was a snorkeling day trip we took on Isla Espiritu Santo, near La Paz (580 pesos a person for a 5 hour boat tour including lunch and snorkeling equipment). The house is about 25 minutes from Los Cerritos, a beach break good for surfers of all levels. Most of our week there the waves were steep, overhead, and fast breaking. Rentals of decent selection of boards is available right on the beach for $20 US a day, but the lady will cut you a deal for a multi-day rental. We\'ll be back!!!
I had found Casa Nova, and thought it looked too good to be true! I sent in an inquiry, which was immediately responded to, and the planning of my girl\'s trip was underway! Upon arrival, my friends and I were blown away by the beauty and care that went into creating Casa Nova. We spent a wonderful 7 nights there, and it was extremely comfortable, spacious, and relaxing! The kitchen was wonderful, and we enjoyed many delicious meals on the deck. The property is very clean and well-kept. Additionally, the local property manager, Heriberto, is incredibly helpful and responsive. Each day we went into town, as well as spent a few days at nearby swimming beaches, Playa Las Palmas, and Playa Cerritos. You definitely will want a car if you\'re staying there. We also took a day trip to La Paz where we did a kayaking trip to beautiful desert island Espiritu Santo. I highly recommend it. Thank you for a wonderful stay at Casa Nova! I\'d love to go back in the near future. It is a home away from home :)
This is our second visit to Casa Nova. When we returned we remembered all the reasons we had booked it in the first place. It’s unique, lovingly designed and very comfortable. Everywhere you turn there are surprising details, natural materials and thoughtful touches. A walk-in pantry (hidden behind beautiful swinging doors); a handcrafted fireplace surround made of huge boulders from the nearby mountains; custom made crescent niches carved into the stair wall for subtle night lighting. In fact, one of the great features of Casa Nova is the careful and creative attention to all the lighting: recessed, dimmer-controlled, original wall sconces, pendant lights, organic dining room chandelier and multiple bathroom lighting fixtures. The beds are comfortable, the showers are great, and the sauna is terrific. The house is hard-wired for internet via WiFi and the system works very well. The local manager is knowledgeable, helpful, very efficient and welcoming. He’s easy to reach and committed to making one’s stay successful. The descriptions, other reviews and photos on VRBO are spot on! A word of caution, however – you’ll be happier renting a four-wheel drive vehicle as the roads to and around Las Tunas are very rough (but we’ve heard the town may pave them in the coming year).
This house was the highlight of our stay in Todos Santos. Beautiful gourmet kitchen, amazing views to wake up to every morning, and a short walk to the beach made us spend all our time here. The architecutre in the house is amazing and Nova made it very easy to rent. Thanks for a great honeymoon spot!
If you are looking for congestion, noise and thousands of tourists anxious to get back on the ship, Casa Nova is NOT for you. Cabo is your place. When first picked up by Heriberto to head north of Todos Santos to the home, we wondered \"what did we get into\" cuz\'.... let\'s just say the roads not the best. But after passing the Mangoes, the road opened to a most beutiful view of the ocean. The home looks and feels like \"Winnie the Pooh\" lives here and has every creature comfort plus the sounds of the surf. This is the IDEAL place for decompression of the soul!! Our only regret was only having one week to enjoy. \"Two thumbs up\"
Casa Nova provided a wonderful setting for our Honeymoon/surf getaway! Although it could easily accommodate up to 8 or more people my new husband and I were very pleased to call this unique and artistic dwelling our home for 3 nights. The architecture is creative and reminded me of the Spanish architect Antoni Gaudi. Everything flowed and you feel as though thought and love were put into the design. Although there is no AC the doors and windows help create a natural air flow and the house stays quite cool. The bath house is an awesome touch. You can take a semi outdoor shower with vines and flowers making it very garden like. Be careful to check sinks and toilets for small creatures. Due to the indoor/outdoor setting it was not uncommon to find lizards hanging out. They are not dangerous just a bit surprising. Every amenity you could have desired from cooking utensils, beach chairs, umbrellas, hammocks, net flicks, fans etc. were readily available saving time and money for travelers. The beach was within a two minute walk from the house. Our property manager was an amazing host offering suggestions for local restaurants, beach breaks and was very responsive via email whenever we had a question. (Two thumbs up for Heriberto!) The ONLY downside was the construction taking place across the road that took place from 8am until 7pm daily. This is a very secluded location and you could hear the sawing across the road during the day. Although annoying this would not detour me from staying there again in a heartbeat. Truly a wonderful experience and we look forward to returning to this beautiful rental again in the future. Hooray Casa Nova!
We made our first of what will probably be many trips to Todos Santos and spent the vacation at Casa Nova. We really enjoyed the home and the location. We have seven people in our party and spent hours in the spacious kitchen and on the porch that wraps around the house. Those of us addicted to our technology appreciated the WiFi. During our first night we were a little thrown off by needing to go outdoors and then go upstairs to get to the master bedroom, but after one night it seemed normal. The bathrooms were well equipped and there was plenty of hot water (although we learned to be patient waiting for the water to warm up for the first shower of the morning). The bunk house is a bit rustic, but comfortable and it provides three additional beds. We liked the sauna. The grounds are well landscaped. The location was great. It\'s short walk to the beach and there were tons of hummingbirds along the walk. It\'s a short drive to town (don\'t plan on trying to walk) so we had plenty of chances to explore the many great restaurants in town. There are several small mercados nearby so you can easily shop for a few groceries, beer and wine. There was also a fruit stand selling an amazing variety of organic produce. We bought three bags of oranges and used the juicer in the house to make fresh OJ for breakfast.
This property is absolutely fabulous and more grand than we had expected! We came to Todos Santos as a group of mid thirties professional adventure/ lounge seekers and had everything that we could ask for and more! The smell from the jasmine vines in the bathhouse alone made it completely worthwhile! Although you can\'t swim in the ocean nearby, the beach is nearly private. The property managers were also very accommodating and were available for anything that you needed. I have suggested this property to multiple associates and will most definitely return for another glorious vacation to this place! Very highly recommended!
Storybook is what comes to mind when you look at the detail of the home and grounds. Very thoughtful in the layout and the character. The master bedroom is out of movie set! You can move about the kitchen and living area with ease when/if you have more than one person preparing the meals. Case Nova has everything you need in terms of kitchen inventory. You\'ll do yourself a favor by eating \"in\" as much as you can. There are, however, some exceptional places to have dinner out and getting back to the home is easy at night. We couldn\'t believe how quite the neighborhood was over a holiday. Songbirds and wind through the palms were delightful. The ocean was a 200 yard walk to an empty beach. We sat alone watching the gorgeous sunset to a crashing surf. Probably unusual, but where can you do that? You will love having rented Casa Nova.
I had so much fun here. Big great room for hanging out with a big family. If I ever have a family reunion it\'ll be here because there\'s a sleeping hut with 3 double beds. I can just imagine a bunch of kids having fun out there. We didn\'t use it this time. The bedrooms inside the house were nice. There\'s an amazing ocean view from each bedroom. The brick dome in the master bedroom is super cool. 5 minute walk to the beach. Just perfect. Oh, and the property managers were very attentive. They really did a great job.
Architecturally inspired, good open concept main living, kitchen area. Located just off one of the main roads to Todos Santos and a short walk down from the house to the beach via Del Mango. Another great feature is the upper level large patio with 2 (plastic) chaise lounges (1 cracked), a heavy natural \'picnic\' table with umbrella, and a couple of (plastic) chairs and small \'coffee\' table. The view of the ocean from there is fantastic and night star gazing wonderful. The kitchen has a large water dispenser, plenty of dishes and pans, blender, microwave and a double sink (with unsightly rust stain). There is no dishwasher. A new hand held can opener would be nice as the current one doesn\'t work well. The living room has a t.v. with Netflix, games and books. It would be nice to have a reading lamp near the sofa as it is quite dark to try to read with just the decorative lighting. The outdoor patio has 2 round tables, one is a plastic table with 4 chairs and the other is a wrought iron table with chairs (in need of paint). The 2 hanging rope chairs on the patio are very comfy and there is a large hammock as well. The design of the compound creates some challenges in that the master bedroom and bath and a guest bedroom are upstairs, accessible only by an outdoor stair way (with cool moon shaped night lights). The master bedroom (which leaked during a rainstorm) has a nice bathroom with double sinks (a leak under the left sink) and shower. The guest bedroom has no bathroom - nor does the cool downstairs stand alone bunk room with 3 double beds. There is another separate building off from the driveway that has a shower, bathroom, sink, sauna and washer dryer. The \'roof\' is open and covered with a flowering vine. All beds have quality mattresses. Just down the main road off from Del Mango, you will find Cleo\'s Cafe with tasty food (including breakfast) , a grocery store with most everything you need and 2 farm markets with great fresh fruit and greens. The caretaker, Eddie, is very helpful and responsive to any of your needs or questions.
