Casa Molino is a new spacious elegant town house, which sleeps six and shares a large, solar heated, 7m x 8m SWIMMING POOL [available May-October], patio and private PARKING with three other properties. Perfect for short breaks, too. Just one hour to the SKIING and a season December to May make this an ideal base. It has a large lounge on the first floor with french window and balcony and on the second floor a terrace that takes advantage of the superb south facing position with stunning views of the Sierra Nevada.

It has three bedrooms, bathroom, separate shower room, large kitchen/dining room with log burning stove and full underfloor CENTRAL HEATING. With open country on two sides it is also within WALKING DISTANCE of shops, a bank, a choice of bars and restaurants, Wednesday market and even a distillery.

LIMITED MOBILITY visitors are suited by 2 bedrooms, shower, kitchen and dining room all on one level, just one step up from patio and pool.

9 PEOPLE in all can be accommodated using an inflatable double and a folding bed; at an additional charge. DISCOUNT 24 euros for couples using only one bedroom.

DIEZMA is a traditional village at 1237m with stunning views of the Sierra Nevada, farming olives, almonds and cherries. Once a stopping place on the old Granada to Murcia road, it is now a quiet backwater and remains unaffected by tourism. There are many footpaths and the Sierra Huétor Parque Natural and swimming in the reservoir Francisco Abellán are accessible from the village. Skiing and the coast are an hour drive. Granada, World Heritage Centre, the Alhambra and airport are just 35km or half an hour by motorway. Almería and Málaga airports are 90 minutes and Madrid airport which offers more choice and cheaper flights when holiday airports like Málaga raise prices at school holiday periods, is 4hrs 30min. 19 kms east is the city of Guadix with a medieval centre, an impressive Cathedral in Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque styles, above it the Alcazaba and the biggest concentration of cave dwellings in Europe. There are regular BUSES to Guadix and Granada which both have RAILWAY stations.

GRANADA is just 35km or half an hour by motorway, World Heritage Centre with an eclectic mix of shops, restaurants and tapas bars; with classical, flamenco, jazz and Arabic music available in many different venues. There is excellent swimming and fishing in the spectacular Embalse de Frederico Abellan just 5km away. Sierra Huétor Parque Natural, 12,428 hectares, next to the village, a middle mountain area of great botanical importance is home to golden eagles, mountain goats and wild cats. Not to be missed are the Arab baths of Cogollos Vega, as well as Cueva del Agua and Fuente Grande. 19 kms east the city of Guadix has a wealth of grand buildings and important monuments, not least its impressive Cathedral in Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and neo-Clasical styles, the colossal medieval Alcazaba and the biggest concentration of cave dwellings in Europe. Graena, with its thermal water baths. Jerez del Marquesado and La Calahorra [36km] with its Italian Renaissance castle built in 1509 Mountain pass of La Ragua [48km], trekking and cross country ski centre which, at 2000m, is the only road over the Sierra Nevada to Las Alpujarras and Gerald Brenan’s Yegen [97km]. Baza, 63km north east, with museum, cave district, Alcazaba and Spain's oldest Arab baths.

Our agent can arrange additional washing/cleaning and late arrival at extra charge.
