We spent 2 weeks in this peaceful, serene cabin in the red rock. It was quiet & cozy there. The sunrises & sunsets were breath taking! We were 5 minutes away from hiking paths & enjoyed viewing the animals & birds. I recommend staying here as you won\'t be disappointed.
Our first visit to and stay in Sedona was at this cabin which, while not large in space, provides so much that fills the human need for rest and renewal. It was wonderful to be out and away from the traffic of Sedona\'s two major highways, yet close enough to get into town whenever we needed to. The cabin had everything we needed, and when something came up with one of the appliances that needed attention the lady who cares for and cleans the cabin in between guests made a trip out to take care of the problem. Being able to walk from the cabin to Crescent Moon Ranch and a number of other trailheads was a real plus for us. Marcia was very helpful and responsive in the booking process and answering questions. We had a tremendously fulfilling stay at the cabin on Zane Grey Lane.
This cabin was perfect for us (two empty nesters looking to relax, hike, explore, soak in some sun.) We loved the quiet edge-of-town location, the walk to Oak Creek, and the jaw-dropping scenery on the drive down from the main highway. Everything we needed was there, even a car pass for the hiking trails and other national forest destinations.
For a summer visit, we give the cabin 4 out of 5 stars. The a/c unit located in the main living area cooled the common areas very well, but didn’t do much to cool the downstairs back bedroom. We visited mid-June and were able to use fans and open windows to keep the bedroom cool at night, however had we visited any later in the year, it would have been too warm for us. Now with that said, we like to sleep in a COLD bedroom, so please take our review as our opinion only. The rest of the house stayed nice and cool, and we truly enjoyed our stay here. I also know Marcia is looking to improve that aspect of the house, so watch for updates! The views of cathedral rock right out the front window are amazing!!! We stopped to look every time we passed by the window! The house is a single story with a small loft upstairs. The house is fully stocked with all you need to cook, play games, watch TV, or just relax and watch the world go by! We enjoyed our coffee every morning on the porch as we planned our day. The house is pet friendly, but note the yard is not fenced. Our dogs have great recalls and stay close so we were comfortable letting them roam the front area. The house is on a secluded road, so there weren\'t any issues with traffic. The house is at the south end of town, outside enough that the stars at night are amazing, but not so far out that you can’t easily get to where you need to be in 5-10 minutes. We were very happy with our stay and if in the area again, we would look to stay again. The owner Marcia was great to work with, supplying us all the info on the house and Sedona area we needed. She was quick to respond to questions, and while we didn’t need her when we were there, she gave us all the info we needed to reach her had something come up. If you’re looking for a comfy, nice, clean, don’t want to be at a hotel with everybody else place to stay, then this cabin is definitely worth considering!!!
We stayed in this lovely cabin the last week of 2012. It was perfect for our family with 3 kids - 7, 5, 2. The ample outside space allowed the kids to practice their soccer skills every day. The kitchen was well-stocked and the heater worked very well. We loved the breakfast table with the great view of Cathedral Rock. We saw a rather large coyote on our drive back to the cabin one evening. The owner Marcia recommended the Heartline Cafe where we had a delicious four course Christmas dinner. On the last day it snowed and was absolutely gorgeous. Nice selection of reading material and games. Sedona is a lovely town and a great base for exploring the area. We did several nearby hikes and went to the mining town of Jerome for a day. We also visited Walnut Canyon, Tuzigoot and Montezuma castle national monuments all of which have ancient Indian dwellings. The older kids were proud of the Junior Ranger park badges they earned. We never turned on the TV or used the iPad the whole week! We stayed in a few hotels following our stay in Sedona and we really missed the extra space and privacy the cabin provided.
