The 60sq meter 1 bedroom apartment was our home before restoration of the rest of the house, where we now live, was completed in 2003. It is located on the ground floor west wing of Casa Cucule. The apartment is totally self-contained and private.
It has a spacious double bedroom with en-suite shower room; a large comfortable living space made up of sitting area, dining area, and a kitchen area; allowing plenty of space to lounge, cook a wonderful meal with local ingredients, dine or just relax and enjoy the peace.
We bought our simple farmhouse in in Tuscany in 1991 and have restored it, literally from ruins, using traditional Tuscan materials including chestnut beams and terracotta ceiling and floor tiles. This apartment in Tuscany interior reflects the traditional country style of the house and includes many finds from my trips to India and Africa as a textile designer. It also has up-to-date modern appliances and high quality fixtures and fittings.
From the wonderful smell of lavender and other herbs planted around the house, to the eclectic furnishings that decorate the rooms inside, Casa Cucule is truly a home.
