Description

From across the road, sunlight reflects off Fisherman Bay and sends shimmering auras onto the walls of this historic home. This recently revived farmhouse was built in the late 19th century. Its charm lies in the character etched into 100 year old island fir floors and wainscoted walls.

Lying in the shadow of the Olympic National Rain Forest gives Lopez Island only half the precipitation of Seattle. This, along with the unspoiled beauty and the friendly community, help make our islands a welcoming destination.

September sees a slowing down of ferry traffic and less congestion in the bay, as many boats return to their home ports. September and October are our best kept secrets, with crisp mornings and warm days, and the leaves turning golden.

This is the perfect house for watching the world go by. Sit on the front porch and watch the sun setting in the west, turning the sky into flame. Or, when the gales of November and December come - stay cozy inside with a cup of hot tea and a game of chess or cards. We love a good storm!
