Elm Tree Cottage is a Grade II listed thatched cottage situated on the village square in Marhamchurch, just opposite the lovely St. Marwenne's Church and the War Memorial. At the front of the cottage is a pretty courtyard and at the rear a lawned garden with picnic table and barbeque. The living room is comfortably furnished and has a beautiful slate floor, (with rugs), many exposed beams, window seats and an inglenook fireplace with lovely woodburner-effect electric fire. There is a tv, vcr, stereo, books and games. The kitchen, which overlooks the back garden, is approached through an ancient timber archway. There is a full sized cooker, fridge-freezer and a microwave as well as a washing machine. Also downstairs is the bathroom with three piece suite and over-bath electric shower. The master bedroom is a pretty, light room with some exposed beams, and a view over the village square. There is an exposed solid wood floor in this room. Connected to the master bedroom is the second bedroom which is a twin. The bedroom can be locked off from the master bedroom and has its own access by spiral staircase from the dining area. This arrangement provides privacy for all-adult parties.
