Villa Mayana’s guests will be greeted upon arrival by the on-site gatekeeper that is available to coordinate or position any services or activities throughout the stay. Guests can request the fully equipped kitchen be stocked prior to arrival with groceries and beverages of choice. A cook and necessary staff will be provided throughout the stay along with daily cleaning and laundry service. Should guest choose to explore the local restaurants and cuisine, the on-site concierge will provide recommendations and make reservation arrangements as requested. Further, the concierge will be available prior to guests’ arrival for consultation and arrangement of activities such as on-site spa services, horseback riding, canopy zip-lining, surf lessons, SCUBA diving/snorkeling, fishing, whitewater rafting and much more. Numerous nearby beaches are accessible by foot and neighboring towns can be accessed by a short car ride. Guests can take a hike through the rainforest to a private waterfall on the reserve. Local flora and wildlife, including monkeys, toucans, hummingbirds, and parrots can be seen simply from sitting by the pool.

Villa Mayana was considered by world renowned architect Enrique Barascout, and the creators utilized natural sustainable materials that make the estate blend with the abundant, tropical environment. From the stone tile flooring to the ultra comfortable furniture, most finishes and furnishings were imported from Bail. The estate was completed in 2010 and was featured in the March 2010 issue of "Su Casa," Central America's premier architectural magazine. The 270 degree views of the rain forest and Pacific Ocean that can be seen from the bedroom suites and the central living area are simply breathtaking. Villa Mayana can be accessed via a 17 minute commuter flight from San Jose to Quepos, or a 2.5 hour drive from San Jose. While guests can enjoy the privacy and stunning views that come with being positioned on the Costa Rican mountainside and amidst the lush rain forest, there is no need to spend valuable time driving on rough, unpaved mountain roads. The estate is divided into East and West wings which converge onto the central living area featuring 30 foot thatched ceilings and overlooking the 3,000 square foot free form, infinity-edge swimming pool crafted from hand-cut Javanese stone tile. Each wing has two (2) master suites for a total of four (4) master bedrooms. Each bedroom has a huge private bathroom with double sinks and both indoor and outdoor showers. The expansive bathrooms were constructed with imported stone tile and luxury finishes. The bedrooms in each wing are connected by a living room with a king sized day-bed. There are four (4) flat panel TVs with satellite cable and DVD players throughout the bedrooms and livings rooms. Access to the central living area is through covered walkways floating over a 2,000 square foot reflection pond. The main living area contains the large kitchen with island bar for casual dining, large dining table made from a gigantic local Guanacaste tree, outdoor seating area, and living room with large flat panel TV. The lower level (pool area) has casual seating for sunbathing, as well as ample seating options in the shade. In addition to the gourmet kitchen on the main level, there is a full kitchen and dining table on the pool level. Just a short walk from the pool is a natural fire pit area where guests can relax under the stars and away from any visible light.
