East Hills Inn, built in the 1940's, is reminiscent of the Southern Inn with a wide front porch, tall columns and rocking chairs and swing for relaxing. It is convenient to shopping, restaurants, downtown, six miles from Montgomery Bell State Park, and just minutes away from the Renaissance Center (theater, music and art), and only eight miles from Historic Charlotte (our county seat) and Cumberland Furnace. The Inn has four bedrooms for guests, each furnished with period antiques, private bath and cable TV. There is a spacious living room and library-den with fireplaces and TV for common areas. The Inn is located on 4.25 acres with tall trees and has three cottages--the Lovell Cottage is upscale with two bedrooms and a nice kitchen; the Grayson Cottage with one bedroom, a nice sitting area, and a kitchen; the Meek Red Barn Cottage with a kingsize bed and clawfoot tub upstairs and downstairs has a half bath, a nice sitting area with fireplace, futon, library table, and other furniture as well as refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. There is a total of eight guest bedrooms and a full breakfast is served each morning, as well as refreshments during the late afternoon.
