The Rose-Hurwitz House was built in 1893 by L. K. Rose. It was acquired in 1910 by Abraham Hurwitz, a local department store owner. Sometime around 1930 it was remodeled by Hurwitz from a one-story frame house to the two-story house it is today. It was later purchased by Deputy Sheriff A. W. Lambert. In 1996 it was purchased by Richard and Shaw Oldham, it's current owners. They have remodeled the upper floor and have turned it into the current bed & breakfast, Lauren's Haven.
