"Cherry Tree House" is a recently renovated “kalivi” situated in the area of "Mourtero", on the beautiful island of Skopelos.
Ideal as a get away from it all holiday for two or three people- it is located overlooking a wooded valley, which eventually runs down to Panormos, which is the nearest beach, just 8 minutes by car. "Mourtero" area is famed for its flora and fauna, particularly for the orchids in spring. Ideal for a quiet holiday in a beautiful place seeing the authentic Greece. The house is a marvellous hideaway for walkers, painters and lovers of nature and wonderful scenery and a gentle pace of life. "Cherry Tree House" is available for rent from April to October each year. You will need a car for this property, which we can arrange for you in advance.
The house is situated in the hamlet of "Mourtero" and is a twenty minute drive from the main town of Skopelos, with its wonderful architecture, bustling harbour and port with its taverns, shops and galleries. In season (May to September) there are shops and taverns open at Panormos (the main beach resort) and within 15 minutes drive you can reach the beaches and tavernas at Agnondas and Limnonari. Milia and Kastani beaches are also close by. Within a five minute drive the nearest restaurant is at Ditropo. The house is on mains water, but drinking water can be collected from the spring about 5O yards from the house. All facilities are provided, including air conditioning in the bedroom, and a CD player. The house has a good collection of books and CD’s, which guests are welcome to use. It also has an open traditional barbeque. There is a maid service once weekly. Sheets, blankets and towels are provided but we ask you to use your own towels for the beach, and bring your own soap and toiletries. Guests have use of a washing machine. On arrival in the port the owners will meet you to take you personally to Cherry Tree House and to show you its facilities. They are English and Greek speaking all year round residents of Skopelos and are on hand for any information you may need.
Prices shown are for two people. An additional charge for a third person is 40 euro per week. A deposit of 1/3 of the price is required to confirm the booking and the remainder is payable four weeks in advance of the booking date. If the booking is less than four weeks in advance then the full amount is payable. Payments can be made in euros by bank transfer to either a British or Greek bank account. Credit cards are not accepted. If you cancel a booking for any reason, you must notify us in writing or by e-mail as soon as possible. Refunds (less £50 administration fee) cannot normally be made unless at least 2 months notice is given and the booking is re-let. Full booking terms and conditions will be sent when confirming your booking.
