The Tallow Factory enjoys a unique position, tucked  behind the  High Street in a tranquil secluded courtyard.  Furnished with antiques and hand knotted rugs, this 5 bed roomed house provides an attractive and  comfortable self-catering home for 10-12 people. One that feels like home, not a holiday rental. The facilities for  self catering are excellent in the Tallow Factory, but  if you do not feel like cooking,  you can enjoy a gourmet  break in a number of nearby restaurants.  Within a short walk,  are two excellent restaurants, a gastro pub and a traditional pub, all with interesting menus and competitive prices.

During your stay in Dedham,  you can take short or long  walks along the River Stour, hire a boat and row to Flatford Mill  all the while enjoying the landscape  made famous by  the paintings of John Constable. Another famous painter associated with Dedham,  was Sir Alfred Munnings,  his house and art gallery is open to the public on Wednesdays and Weekends. Dedham is the perfect location to enjoy a weekend walking in the cuntryside  and  a gourmet break.
