Description
Kye Bay Guest Lodge & Cottages is nestled on Vancouver Island's east coast, with miles of white sandy beaches, a natural reef (chock full of delicious oysters) to explore at low tide, and an unbelievable "micro-climate" of warm sunny days and pleasant evenings kissed by gentle sea-breezes.
Kye Bay is the beach that you remember from your own childhood, unsurpassed freedom to roam, play, build sandcastles, eat a sandy sandwich, catch a fish in a tidal pool, to reign supreme over your secret summer kingdom. Kye Bay is freedom from phones, computers, television, schedules for the kids, and the pressures of urban life.
Kye Bay offers miles of sandy beaches with warm and safe swimming from May to October. When the tide goes out, it exposes a wonderful reef with an abundance of clams and oysters. Small fish and other fascinating sea life are found in the tidal pools. When the tide comes in, Kye Bay becomes a playground for seals, and a hunting ground for Great Blue Herons, Bald Eagles, and Osprey. Occasionally, pods of killer whales pass by our windows. Georgia Strait always offers a diverse fleet of cruise ships, coastal freighters, and large sailing yachts.
