We had a week long family get-together at the beach house and had a wonderful time. The size and layout of the house were perfect for us. The location was gorgeous, with a huge beachfront. All in all, it was perfect.
After a long summer of managing big projects my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our comfortable relaxing stay at the beach house. The regional foliage was beautiful while we enjoyed the many area hiking trails. There are plenty of local restaurants to choose from. I\'d like to come back with more of our family sometime in the summer when we could enjoy water activities.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Marquette Beach House! It was the perfect setting to appreciate fall in the Upper Peninsula. The views of Lake Superior are incredible. I recommend this house to anyone looking for a place to stay near Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore (only about 40 minutes away), or anyone looking to enjoy the Upper Peninsula in general. Thanks Amy & Matt!
My stay at the Marquette Beach House was great. I would highly recommend staying and I myself will likely stay here again. Upon my arrival, the house was well kept and clean and all of the rooms were prepared. The kitchen was clean, and the fridge/freezer were ready to be filled and the oven was ready for use. The central island was very nice addition and a great spot to serve. The location of the house was perfect, just a short walk down to the beach, where some campfire wood had been left for me. I spent a lot of time out on the shore of Lake Superior and it was a gorgeous view of sunsets and sunrises from the beach chairs and swing. The location of the house was very central to several activities in the area (hiking, paddling, and dining in downtown Marquette). While there were neighbors close by, the area was very quiet during the entire length of my stay, and I never really noticed the neighbors. Very peaceful. In addition, it was great that their was WiFi and cable. I was able to be online for planning day trips, and was able to catch the Tigers games in the evenings after the sun had set. Amy was very responsive from making my reservation to answering a few questions during my stay. Overall, this was a great place, and it comes highly recommended.
Some things, believe it or not, aren\'t too good to be true. Matt and Amy\'s house on Lake Superior was an excellent location, value, and experience. If, like me, you live for Great Lakes beachfront, this place is an incredible find. Plus super close to Marquette (10 minute drive, tops). We had no issues and our hosts were communicative and accommodating. Can\'t wait to return.
