The village of St Bonnet Elvert has one bar but no shops and the local traders pass on certain days each week. The delightful and historic town of Argentat sur Dordogne is about 15 minutes away for excellent shops and restaurants, a super water park, canoeing in the river, hang gliding.
Tulle is a larger town with weekly markets (Wednesday and Saturday) and a larger selection of supermarkets, shops and restaurants. Tulle is about 20 minutes away. Access to wonderful countryside, hilltop medieval villages, historic chateaux, fascinating caverns plus a multitude of activities for all ages. Canoeing, riding, climbing, hang-gliding, walking, cycling, swimming, tennis, water parks (see activities), and, of course, excellent cuisine and wine. There are two local vineyards, one in Glanes and the other at Brancelles. Larger hypermarkets are in Brive.
