This 4 star self-catering accommodation is located in New Quay in the heart of the majestic Burren overlooking Galway Bay and some of Ireland's most spectacular scenery. It is midway between the beautiful villages of Ballyvaughan in Co. Clare and Kinvara in Co. Galway with an approximate distance of 6 miles (10km) to each. Both villages offer a choice of restaurants and craft shops to the visitor and it is possible to have a mediaeval banquet in Kinvara as it is home to Dunguaire Castle.
New Quay and its environs offers a wide variety of activities ranging from a leisurely seashore walk or challenging hill walk to fishing, pony trekking, cycling, caving, watersports and so on.
It is an ideal base to explore the surroundings of Burren National Park and visit the many tourist attractions in the area such as the Aillwee Caves and Burren Perfumery.
Alternatively if you take the rugged coastal route to Lahinch with its championship golf course and beautiful sandy beach, you can stop along the way at Doolin and possibly take in a boat trip to the Aran Islands. Further on you can stop at the famous Cliffs of Moher, reputed to be the highest cliffs in Ireland.
The house can accommodate twelve people as it has six bedrooms, four doubles and two twin rooms. It has two large living rooms, each one on a different levels, All furnishings are of the highest standard, and every convenience is provided so as to make your holiday as pleasant as possible. There is a large patio and garden area to the rear of the house with ample parking. A gas barbecue is also provided.
Within a mile is a small sandy beach ideal for swimming whilst the shop pub/restaurant with delicious seafood is less than three hundred yards from the house. It is also possible to purchase a selection of fresh shellfish from a fish farm located at the rear of the pub.
