I have never been a fan of Bed and Breakfasts until Sutton House--second visit this weekend. Absolutely amazing---rooms and common areas are immaculate---Teejah and staff are delightful and so kind--food was delicious! My husband has a lot of pain issues and it's hard to travel, Early check in so he could strecth out after the ride was a game changer--great food in the area. The back deck with access to grills and a relaxed dinner area a life changer, Beautiful view from the pool with easy parking access. I will never stay anyplace else when in the Lakes Region--best trip in a long time!!!!!
Sutton House B & B is a charming old mansion with rooms that are tastefully decorated with quilts, rugs, etc. The room we had was spacious and had a nice view of the lake. The bed was very comfortable. Common rooms were also lovely and comfortable to sit in along with a wrap around porch to enjoy nice weather. The breakfasts were excellent and the owner, Thais, was helpful and friendly. The only detraction was the small shower that took a little time for the hot water to come. We traveled for a family occasion, so we didn't have the opportunity to go to the lake or enjoy the outdoors around the house. It is an easy walk to the lake. One note, if anyone in your party has mobility issues or can't do stairs, I would be sure to reserve a room on the ground floor.
Great two day getaway. The owner met us earlier than our scheduled arrival and made sure we were taken care of. Fantastic breakfasts and very nice accomodations. Could not have asked for anything better.
Very nice accommodations with spacious rooms. Well equipped kitchen albeit a tad bit small. The manager was pleasant. Only because the group of seven couples are in their 70’s not having an elevator made it a challenge to get to the third floor. That not the fault of anyone.
Inn is located on the main road a few miles out of Meredith. This was no problem at all and was nice to be out of the “city.” The owner, Taice (sp ?), couldn’t have been more accommodating and pleasant. She answered our questions about the area, recommendations for eating and hiking. The inn is very well kept and our first-floor room was quiet and perfect. Breakfasts were excellent. Two suggestions - let people know what’s for breakfast so they could decline something if they don’t want it, and add oatmeal as a standard breakfast item. Would definitely stay again.
