A beautiful home awaits your stay! 29 miles from the Arch Rock entrance park boundary, this bright, modern home was newly furnished in 2019, including new flooring and paint throughout. This is a non-residence home set up exclusively for vacationing guests. Beautiful drive, easy to find, even at night. Only two smooth paved roads from Highway 140 toward Yosemite and 6.7 miles from Mariposa town in a very quiet, pretty area on 3 acres. 10 minutes to restaurants and markets. 3,220 ft elevation.
 
The space
This spacious, 3 Bedroom / 2 Bath home built in 1993 has central heat and air conditioning with ceiling fans in all rooms, Smart TV with complimentary Netflix, BluRay / DVD player and a music network entertainment center with complimentary Spotify or the ability to connect your own Bluetooth device, and the fastest Wi-Fi available in the area. Cell service is very reliable and there is also a landline telephone for local calls. Laundry room has complimentary washer & dryer with fragrance free laundry detergent.
 
Set in a serene mountain valley, it is all the more peaceful and quiet because of very little traffic due to our nicely paved road becoming unpaved and little used 100 yards beyond the property. Traveling that dirt portion of Colorado Rd is not recommended.
 
The kitchen is well-stocked with cooking essentials including place settings for six, cutting boards, mixing and serving bowls, a slow cooker, rice cooker, blender, coffee maker. We even include a pound of locally roasted whole-bean coffee and grinder!
 
This kitchen provides everything guests would need to prepare, cook and serve wonderful home-cooked meals at a great savings as compared to the costs of eating meals out at a restaurant.
 
Each bedroom has a queen bed with organic cotton mattress. Firm mattresses in the Master and Middle Bed with a slightly softer Firm-Plush mattress in the smallest bedroom.
 
There is a large, shaded back patio of laid stone, with a five-burner Char-Broil gas grill and year-round available wood stove. The wrap-around covered porch provides shelter and shade for all seasons. Deer, wild turkeys, jack-rabbits and cottontails often graze on the grasses of the property.
 
Washer and dryer are also included. We use fragrance-free cleaning products as much as possible. The laundry room is stocked with fragrance-free laundry soap and the bathrooms with fragrance-free Dr. Bronner's Castile soap in foaming dispensers. The complimentary individually wrapped bar soaps likely contain a fragrance.
 
The water is safe and tastes excellent. The county strongly regulates well water quality and requires other household tests. The water pressure is good.
 
We like to respect that our guests are on vacation, enjoying themselves with their friends and families. Though Patty & I do not live in the same Mariposa neighborhood as Sierra Sunrise, we are generally available for questions, recommendations or concerns by phone, text or email at any time. As a policy, we do not initiate a communication with our guests once they've arrived. We also offer a generous Noon checkout time.
 
We do like communication and friendly messages from our upcoming guests, so along with your booking message, please tell us a bit about yourself and the members of your party, including the ages of any young children.
 
*BEFORE YOU BOOK! Please be sure to reserve a Yosemite Park Peak Hour Day Use Pass ( good for three days) before booking Sierra Sunrise. For more details please go to the Yosemite Park website or Recreation.Gov / Ticketed Entry. Unfortunately, Airbnb will not let us post the actual website URL.
 
COVID19 PREPAREDNESS:
During this Covid-19 event we are implementing some extra precautions at Sierra Sunrise to ensure that we all remain virus free.
 
Two nights ( 51 hrs min.) are blocked between every guests' departure and next guests' arrival.
 
Comments from previous guests underscore how thorough our cleaning crew has always been, and that attention to detail will continue. All linens and towels will now be laundered in hot water instead of cold. We also block out two nights between guests -- partly to facilitate extra cleaning details, but also to give you even more of a sense of private retreat.
 
Safety for everyone is our priority -- that and an enjoyable, stress-free stay.

These three wooded acres provide room to stretch and explore but we ask that guests do keep clear of the out-buildings and areas around the garage, wood shed and tool shed.
Other things to note
OUR $120 CLEANING FEE:
Our cleaning fee assures that all incoming guests can expect the utmost quality and cleanliness at Sierra Sunrise.
Our two cleaning persons are competent professionals who take great pride in their work.
 
The following is a list of our cleaners responsibilities:
Change and launder all bedding and towels.
Clean and sanitize with alcohol: all sinks, showers, tub, toilets, all electric switches and surfaces.
Vacuum, sweep, scrub and/or mop every floor.
Clean all furniture.
Dust and/or wipe clean, sanitize every surface.
Clean every appliance.
Empty dishwasher of cleaned dishes, glasses and silverware.
Reload and run washer with all unused kitchenware to mitigate any contagion.
Inventory and replace all kitchen needs such as liquid soaps, dish towels, salt, pepper, sugar, spices, etc and other household needs such as napkins, kleenex, bath tissues, bar and liquid soaps.
Empty and re-line all trash and recycling bins.
Clean BBQ.
Clean all windows, outdoor furniture and walkways.
 
 
** NOT COVERED BY OUR $120 CLEANING FEE** :
Washing guests' daily meal dishes, pots, pans, silverware or glassware.
 
We provide a standard home-quality dishwasher and liquid dishwasher soap for guests to use to clean daily meal dishes, glassware and silverware.
We also provide sponges and scrub pads and dish soap for guests to use to clean the provided pots and pans.
We ask our Guests to make themselves at home while treating the house as if it were their own home.
