Blue Moon Antigua sits above the Galleon Beach Resort in English Harbour which is home to world class sailing competitions and super yachts. There are two identical villas each with a king size bed, outdoor garden shower and free WI-Fi. The villas are 100% solar powered.. Galleon Beach is a short walk from the villas.  It is a very safe and child friendly beach with a small beach bar on it that serves lunch. There is excellent diving and snorkeling right off the beach.
 
In English and Falmouth Harbours, which are five minutes away, you will find many fabulous small restaurants and bars with live music. There are two local grocery stores for essentials and a very large grocery store in St. John's. The villas are well appointed with everything you need if you choose to stay in at night. 
 
The villas are identical. One sits a set of steps above the other. In the center of each villa is a cupola which allows warm air out-the villas have a very open and airy feel to them but are completely screened. There is a full kitchen/ dining/ living room in the front half of the villa. It looks out to the sea through two eight foot wide door openings that are screened with 'armour mesh' which is a stainless steel screen; they are custom fitted into the openings with a hardwood frame. The lower villa has a pull-out couch (double size bed) in the living room-the upper villa does not.
Both villas have king-size beds in the bedroom, a dressing area with a six foot mirrored closet, and a bathroom which opens out into a large garden shower-the shower is outside. There are covered eight foot decks on the entrance side and the sea view side of the villas as well as a six foot partially covered deck on the bedroom side. There are dining tables outside for 6-8 people and inside the villas for four people. Each villa has two sun loungers on the deck with cushions.
 
The Jacuzzi and BBQ grill are located between the two villas-a half of a flight of stairs above the lower villa. The lower villa is three flight of steps above the parking area-each set of steps is separated by a level ramp which makes the walk up reasonable. The entire walkway is almost completely in the shade because of the extensive gardens all around.

Stunning Private Getaway


the Blue Moon villas are immaculate and private nestled overlooking the best view in Antigua. Each evening You will be graced with a sunset from your wrap around verandah. Spacious functional Easy to adapt to the pace in Galleon Bay and English Harbour. Shonnie and Michael are well connected helpful hosts. Fabulous hiking, snorkeling and swimming right out your door. Beautiful villa great bed beautiful sheets Gardeners delight .

Just returned from our second long stay in this beautiful villa. Situated overlooking Galleon Beach in English Harbour the views are spectacular. The villa has wrap around verandas with loungers and an outside dining table and chairs. The interior is comprehensively furnished with a sitting room, large kitchen area, good bathroom and a splendid outside shower.The owners who live on site could not be more helpful and friendly and make this a delightful place to stay. Others have criticised the stairs which are described online but for able bodied visitors these are quite manageable.

Enchanting place to stay to relax and appreciate nature.


The Upper Villa at Blue Moon in Galleon Beach, Antigua is a delightful Villa to rent for two. It has a wonderful veranda where we ate breakfast every morning while enjoying the beauty of Galleon Beach and watching the comings and goings of the boats. We even enjoyed three little birds who came every day to eat breakfast with us. The living room is comfortable with a small kitchenette quite adequate for simple meals. The bedroom is very cozy and mosquito free due to the netting over the bed, which is very comfortable, and the ceiling fan keeps cool air flowing into the room. The shower is marvelous. Taking a shower in an open space, under the stars and in the sunshine, is a wonderful experience. I loved the fact that there were few glass windows, only screens, in the Villa. This meant the air is always flowing around the Villa making it comfortable. No air conditioning was needed. Michael and Shoonie could not be more hospitable. They gave us tips of where to go on the Island, where to eat, and where to buy groceries. The stairs up to the Villa gave me the opportunity to exercise my broken ankle and stay fit after eating all the good food the Island offers. I highly recommend Blue Moon as a calm, relaxing, comfortable, and beautiful place to stay.

WONDERFULLY SITUATED, GORGEOUS VIEWS, COMFORTABLE & FULLY EQUIPPED, PRIVATE


Our 2nd visit, for 3+ weeks, followed a 2-week stay a year earlier (that says it all). We\'re seniors, and widely traveled, but never before enjoyed such a perfect setting and such great \"privacy-with-support\" in a rental villa. Owners provide excellent local guidance when wanted, but don\'t interfere. Villas are comfortable and blessed with outstanding views from a delightful wrap-around covered veranda, while only a short walk from superb,less-used beach with tranquil waters and yachts at anchor. Easy access by car or boat to English Harbour attractions, restaurants, etc. Villas are high on hillside and require stair climbing but peace and privacy are the reward.. Room tip: Upper Villa affords best views, but is a dozen or so extra steps up.

Absolutely Perfect


This is our second stay at Blue Moon and if we could we would return every year. Shonnie and Mike have the perfect spot. You have the luxury of beautiful views every morning and evening (the sunset over Montserrat is to die for), the sound of the ocean and birds, and the place all to yourselves. My favorite is the outside shower that makes you feel like you are showering in a garden! We hiked right out our door and with a quick walk could swim among the sailboats. If you want a good dinner, Falmouth Harbor is right there. Shonnie and Mike are the best hosts and always helpful.

THE BEST SPOT ON THE ISLAND - VIEWS FOR DAYS!!!


We\'ll start with the views to get that out of the way :) and then move on to the finer points. It\'s hard to imagine a better spot to view the bay, boats, sunset and starry sky. 180 degrees virtually unobstructed. And trust us we\'ve toured the island through and through! The pictures should give you an idea, but take our word for it, reality beats it. Then stay for the perfect hospitality of Shonnie and her husband. The cottage is well appointed with a GREAT bed, beautiful outdoor shower and floor to ceiling windows. Seating and table options both indoor and our allowed us to pick our hang and eat time as we liked. Galleon Bay is a perfect location, near all the amenities you need but nestled in its own tranquil area. Snorkel gear, coolers, and beach gear were at our disposal to equip us for all of our relaxing and adventures. We couldn\'t have had a better stay, and look forward to visiting it again.

Absolutely wonderful villa with the most superb views of Galleon Beach and Bay


Wendy and I stayed here for 10 weeks during Jan-Mar 2021. It is a sensational villa, probably the best we have ever stayed at anywhere, either in the Caribbean or elsewhere. It is well equipped with everything you are likely to need and has a huge balcony providing stunning views across Galleon Beach, Freemans Bay, English Harbour, even Falmouth Bay, plus the Island of Montserrat. Bring your binoculars. Shonnie and Michael, our hosts, could not have been more friendly or helpful, especially during the Antiguan restaurant shutdown due to Covid. We thoroughly recommend it.
