WHAT OUR GUESTS TELL US ABOUT SKIPPERS...
In a word, it was perfect. My wife is a tough customer when it comes to interiors and she was blown away at how tasteful, relaxing, fun, and well-though-out the place was. Every time we needed something, it was there. It had a great tropical feel and the surroundings were rejuvenating, including the cats and chickens. We enjoyed being there so much that we hardly bothered to eat out and just grilled fish about every night. We watched movies and just hung out and enjoyed time as a family (we must have watched Scooby Doo and the Ghost Pirates 7 times!). When we left for the last leg of our trip, for which we stayed at the Hyatt, we were seriously sad and depressed to be leaving our home away from home. We would stay there again in a second and recommend it highly to anyone considering a vacation to Kauai--especially if they have kids and want a more relaxing atmosphere than expensive resorts & restaurants.

We got back home late last night and are already missing the islands. Of the three homes we rented on the islands, yours was the best. So clean and such an impressive attention to detail we've not seen before in our travels with everything needed to make the most of our stay and the outside shower was a total bonus. The beach was perfect and never crowded.

The best of both worlds!  Rural beauty and yet close to civilization--you will notice that Skipper's is centrally-located to all the fun activities Kauai has to offer. Wonderful restaurants and shopping are 15 minutes in either direction on the highway.

Highly Rated home


We had a great stay at Skipper\'s. The home was perfect for our family of 4 (mom, dad & 2 teens). Rural setting was very peaceful and quiet. Home had everything we needed. The outdoor shower was all we used, it was excellent. We drove to other beaches and sites but we knew this when we rented this house. If you want to end your day with a walk to the beach and then relax at the house without the noise of a resort or hotel this is the place to do so. All the beach supplies were available: fins, snorkels, chairs, towels. The chickens roaming the yard and the 4 cats were great. Instructions to access property and informational email from owner were excellent. Gardner even cut a banana tree for us. The listing says central A/C but we couldn\'t find it. There were many fans which were fine. We had a great stay at Skippers!!

Amazing vacation at the Skippers


We had the most amazing vacation at the Skipper\'s house. We had spent the first part of the week at a corporate condo. We greatly preferred the coziness and casualness of the Skipper\'s house. We are a family of 6 adults. The house is well worn but very clean. The beds were comfortable and we really enjoyed cooking dinner as a family after a day of touring the island. The kitchen was well stocked. The grounds of the property are jungle like and just gorgeous. The amazing beach is close by and we got up every morning for a beautiful sunrise. Tony A. was helpful and had great communication. If Kauai was not so far, I would book this place every year!!

Skipper’s is an awesome home away from home


Skipper’s is a wonderful well kept and well appointed rental. It was very clean and spacious. The double sliders in the open plan living room and kitchen make you feel like you’re outside all the time. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms clean. The AC, ceiling fans and lighting are plentiful. The grounds are kept beautifully and the location is great. It’s an easy walk to the beach at Moloa’a Bay and a scenic drive either way you go to the main highway. Communicating with the owner Tony was easy, fun and very informative. Would love to stay at Skipper’s again.
