e were a little nervous at first, given that we arrived at the property at night. The drive to the house is an unpaved, dark and bumpy road, about 15 minutes from Parrita. We pulled up and were met by a neighbor who oversees the property. We found Mariette to be helpful and responsive without being intrusive at all. Before we even entered the home we were charmed by the spectacular landscaping, pool area, and the sound of the ocean. The grounds are obviously meticulously cared for by professional gardening staff. The house itself is nicely laid out, with the master suite situated just off the living room area with a lovely ocean view. The second bedroom and bathroom is down a separate hallway from the kitchen area, which provided nice distance from the children. The beds are super comfortable and we all slept very well. The kitchen is well-stocked and in good shape. Located in a little building beside the pool is the washer, dryer, boogie boards, and some pool toys. There was a grill, but we did not use it. There is also an outdoor shower, several deck chairs, and a nice table to enjoy meals. The beach the house is on feels very private. I believe, aside from the neighbor and her dogs, we only saw a total of six other people the entire length of our stay. The ocean here is warm and the waves are perfect for boogie boarding. Some of our favorite moments in this house include: swimming at night with an incredible display of stars overhead, delighting in discovering two iguanas spying on us form the rooftop while we swam, having breakfast while macaws squawked in the almond trees around the house, morning visits on the beach from neighbor dogs (hi, Luna and Rani!) and the blissful moments spent swaying gently in the hammock near the beach. We will never forget the precious days our family spent in this beautiful home and hope someday to return for a longer visit. We missed our little slice of paradise the second we drove away. Worth mentioning: the house, as I mentioned, is down an unpaved road, 15 minutes from the main road in Parrita. You will absolutely need a car to stay here. For those wanting to be in the middle of the action, this place is not for you. For those who want privacy and beach access, this might be for you. All I can say is that we loved it and would return in a heartbeat.
the house is perfect. The beach and the sea are amazing. We had a dream week. We recommend without hesitation.
