Description

Our lakeside house is in a private and beautiful setting in the Western Maine Mountain Region nestled on the shores of pristine Clearwater Lake in our 19 wooded acres. The house has warm radiant heating and is comfortable in all seasons.
 
The lake has over 750 acres with six-and-one-half miles of shore line and a maximum depth of 135 feet. The property abounds in opportunities for outdoor activity and nature viewing.
 
The house has a wrap-around deck facing the lake with a grill, a large picnic table, and a canopy.
 
In winter or summer the floor to ceiling windows in the living room offer a panoramic view of the lake with ever changing views of surrounding mountains, trees, snow, ice, mist, sunsets, sunrises, and sky. There are constant sounds and views of many varieties of birds, small woodland animals, and often, the calls of loons.
 
The house is near the culturally rich college town of Farmington. It is a little under 200 miles distant from Boston.

Winter and Spring Melt
The house is on a dirt road accessed from a paved road. The dirt road is about one mile long and goes down a hill to reach the house. In the winter this road is plowed. Year-round residents drive it daily. However, the road can get icy in the winter and muddy and slippery during the Spring melt.
 
Four wheel or all wheel drive vehicles as well as snow or studded tires are advisable at these times.

Skiing
The house is a beautiful nearby alternative to ski mountain rentals at a fraction of the cost!
Ski on nearby (within 15 minutes) Titcomb Mountain with 16 alpine trails for all skill levels and many cross-country skiing trails.
Sugarloaf Mountain Ski Resort, Maine's largest ski resort, is the only lift-serviced above-treeline skiing in the East. It is 40 - 60 minutes away.
Saddleback Mountain with 66 trails and 5 lifts is an one hour and 23 minutes away.
Sunday River Ski Resort offering 132 trails, 671 acres, and 8 interconnected mountains is an hour and 20 minutes distant.

Spring, Summer and Fall Activities
Our house is available in winter months, and our lakeside cottage or "camp" (what Mainers call a non-winterized cottage) is available in the warmer months from May to October.
 
It is great for a variety of warm weather water and outdoor sports and activities.
Swimming
Boating. The house has a canoe, two kayaks, a child's canoe, a row boat, and, by special arrangement, the use of our two sailboats.

Cancellation Policy
We will refund any payment already received if we receive notice of the cancellation at least 15 days prior to the start date of the reserved booking.

Additional Rate details

If the rental is between 2 and 6 days then the daily rental rate is $200.
If the rental is between 7 to 29 days the daily rental rate is $160.
If the rental is between 30 and 89 days the daily rental rate is $140.
If the stay is more than 90 days the daily rental rate is $120. 
 
Check-in after 4:00 pm
check-out 11:00 am
 
Extra Rental Fees
The daily rate pays for up to 5 guests per night. The space can hold 9 overnight guests. Extra guests cost $20.00 for each night they stay.
 
Approved pets are $10.00 for each night they stay.
 
Payments
Payment can be spread over 2 installments. Pay 50% when reservation is made. Pay 50% no later than 15 days before rental start date.
 
Note- We accept most popular payment forms including Check, Cash, Credit Card, Zelle, Venmo, and PayPal.
