Le P'tit Bonheur It is: A campsite it oriental pyrenees, department 66, region Languedoc Roussillon, with natural swimming pool, in the heart of the Regional Natural reserve of Catalan Pyrenees, which extends over 6 hectares and is surrounded with hundreds of hectares of nature, with rent of mobil homes, caravans, chalets, shaded, quiet and quiet locations, seen on the mountain, the nearness of Canigou and gorges(breasts) of Carança.
Close to Prades, to Jujols, Olette, Mantet, Sahorre, in Conflent and of 4 nature reserves, in 15 minutes of the health resort of Vernet Les Bains and Villefranche de Conflent fortified city by Vauban registered on the UNESCO world heritage, in 25 minutes of the baths of thermal warm water of Thues, at the 1:15 am of the méditérrannée sea, at one o'clock of Font-Romeu and ski runs, at one o'clock 10 of Spain, at two o'clock of Andorra situated well to visit Carcassonne, Andorra, Collioure, Canet, Argelès, Banyuls, Barcarès, Leucate, The Dali et Barcelone . museum, the naturist part.
The site is magnificent and protected with well directed terraces, the air and the water are pure, flowers and the butterflies abound, the nature is respected (tamed rather than raised). The campsite guarded a "wild" aspect. Here no paths were drawn in the fuse, no asphalt, no floodlit path, the hunting in the bramble is not systematic. The constructions and the toilets are traditional and integrated into the environment.
The stretch of water fitted out for the bathing is filled(performed) with the water lowered(gone down) directly from the mountain without chemical treatment and warmed by the passage through tubes buried in the paving stone of the beach Recommended to the persons needing to get fresh ideas in the contact of the nature, the rustic environment, the "cool" atmosphere disadvised from the pedantic persons, being afraid of the silence.

Particular reception for the lovers and the amateurs of ballroom dancing and the Latin and standard sportswoman with promotions and reductions. Private parties to have a practice and exchange. Ladies, in the Small Happiness you can find the Man knowing how to dance!
Wooden Chalets No. 46, 47 and 48 Sleeping 5/6 people. Price is 210 - 490 € per week depending on the season.. In each, there are 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed (140x190 cm) and the other with a large single (or double) bed (120x190 cm) and 2 bunk beds (70x190 cm). There is also a living room, plus a fully-equipped kitchen and a bathroom with a toilet, shower and sink. There is also a covered terrace. They are located on a large lawn, surrounded by trees, close to the swimming pool.
EATING AND DRINKING
Pampering and gastronomy: The naturally occurring hot springs, warm dry air & reportedly 300 days of sunshine a year has meant that this area has long been recommended to those looking for spas, health retreats or to 'take the cure'. Many of the establishments have been around for a long time & were particularly popular with the Victorians. These days they offer all of the latest treatments in lovely surroundings. Why not visit one of the spas at Molitg les Bains or Vernet les Bains or if you are suffering a few aches and pains after some skiing try the hot springs at St Thomas, Llo or Dorres.
If all that has given you an appetite then your in for a treat. There are several Michelin rated restaurants under an hours drive away, with a wide choice of local restaurants much closer. Whether you fancy a five course dinner or a simple snack there are a multitude of choices. There is a list of eateries in the information pack at the property and we are always glad to hear if you have found a new recommendation.
In the village af ESCARO, 5 minutes walle from the campsite reception, you will found the Bistrot de Pays "LA TROBADA". They serve food and drink all day, specialized on local produce, and with great view oh Pic du Canigou and massif du Très Estelles.
THINGS TO SEE
You will discover 4 nature parks (there are 130 in FRANCE, 3 % of which are found in the area around Escaro)
You will explore the country and follow numerous hiking trails such as:
* la "route du fer" (= the Iron Ore Trail)
* les "circuits romans" (= the Romanesque Monuments)
and you will benefit from curative treatments in our hot springs facilities
(Vernet Les Bains is only at 12 km of the P' tit Bonheur Camp)
THINGS TO DO
The Conflent & surrounding area is rich in history & there are many sites to visit; Vauban built fortified towns like Villefranche de Conflent or Mount Louis, Cathar castles, Abbeys such as Saint-Michel de Cuxa or Saint Martin du Canigou, Fort Liberia, the Palace of the Kings of Majorca, plenty of Romanesque churches & hermitages & numerous museums. There are of course natural wonders as well; the Orgues at Ille sur Tet, the hot springs at St Thomas or Thues, the sacred Mount Canigou & the spectacular pink blanket of peach blossom that swathes the whole valley in the spring. If you are in need of a bit of retail therapy there are the weekly markets in most of the towns where you can buy gorgeous local produce, taste some of the excellent local wine and buy your lunch at the same time. But for more serious shopping why not head to Perpignan and wonder through the maze of tiny streets looking in chic boutiques or buying some of the locally produced arts and crafts. There's plenty to do!
Things to do with Children: You wont be short of things to keep the young or young at heart entertained. Within 30 minutes drive you can find the animal park at Casteil, the caves at Villefranche de Conflent and Fort Liberia. You could take the famous 'le petit train jaune' up into the mountains. In the summer it has some open air carriages so you can really take in the scenery!
